Confidentiality and the transparency of the Family Law Courts are two concepts that to a certain extent are at loggerheads.  By opening up the courts to the media, the government hopes that the public will be reassured that justice is being done.  However, where the threat of being in the public eye forces a client into early settlement, can we really say that justice has been done?
